Corporate Social Responsibility in Balanced HR

Our company has always been supporting various projects that are meant to help children, sport and the region we are active in. Every minute, even while you are reading this article, is already history. But now we want to remind ourselves what we have experienced together, with people who had not been that lucky and healthy. That´s why we have created this “book of stories” – to remember good acts done for a good cause.

Posibilitas 2018

Every year, we do our best to help personally and financially too. And 2018 is the year of helping Possibilitas. We support two small girls Eliska and Lucka.

This is my sen, 2017

The third year of the “This is my sen“ (TiMS) football tournament, which is organised for U11 category players, had the best team structure in its short history. West Ham United from England and Valencia from Spain were the most attractive crowd pullers. The Czech Republic was represented by Slavia Praha, FC Zbrojovka Brno, 1.FC Slovácko and FK Dukla Praha. Wisly Krakow and Zaglebie Lubin from Poland were there too. Olimp Uzhhorod from Ukraine and Ferencváros Budapest from Hungary were teams number nine and ten. Balanced HR, a proud sponsor of the tournament, helped fulfill the dream of young football players of AS Trenčín who got a chance to play against their peers from big European clubs.

Challenge Day VII, 2017

6,300 € were collected at the seventh “Be better – Challenge day” training and will be split among the families of Eliška, Anetka, Klárka, Tobino, Maťko, Lukáško, Tomáško and Lea. Unique anniversary celebrations of the Buď lepší, o.z. association (Be better) have helped those who need it most with the total amount of 23,200 € in the course of seven years. This year was different because it was not about the regular circuit training with fitness equipment. The number of registered participants was so high that it would be difficult for the organisers to gather as much equipment and for the participants to complete the circuit of 21 stops. We took a shot in the dark and made the training at another location where exercises were changed every 25 seconds. They were suitable for everybody, not difficult but also not that easy because Braňo presented a more demanding version of each exercise for keener sportsmen.

TEDx  2017

The fourth year of TEDxTrenčín was all about “Pluses and minuses”. Controversial topics were brought up in order to instigate discussions and inspire. The audience could listen to a historian, a Paralympic cyclist, an HIV activist, a musician, a mayor, a teacher talking on the stage. Diametrically different topics, opinions and beliefs of the speakers helped put a perfect puzzle of human stories together. Each of them brought another message but they all had one thing in common – passion for what they live for. They did their best to pass it on to the audience… and Balanced HR was there to witness it.

Small Dragon Boat Festival 2017

Balanced HR financially supported the premium year of the event that was held in Trenčín on the Váh river and attracted 31 teams from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria.

It is the biggest festival of its kind in Slovakia. “The Hobby and Companies category is meant for amateur teams, Sports Fans are competitors who train and attend various races,” explained Branislav Lobotka, the organiser of the event.

Small dragon boats are standard watercrafts that meet international competition rules. Each boat has a dragon head at the bow and a tail in the stern. The crew has 12 members – ten paddlers, one steerer and one drummer who beats the rhythm.

There were many people on the town square and at the castle of Trenčín to enjoy the beautiful historic atmosphere all week long and go back in time to the era of Máté Csák of Trencsén and even gladiator combats. One could meet falconers and fencers, taste gourmet delicacies of the past, listen to old music. The festival continued at the castle during the weekend, with fencing duels, feasts and competitions.
