Information about the position

Job description

Main purpose of this function is to maintain the backbone to all IT communications with plants,also allowing for remote control / microservices designs as part of the team in charge of installing, operating, developing system and other related applications or data bases on EFW plants worldwide, your task will more specifically to
  • look after cloud deployed Apache Kafka clusters
       
  • monitor traffic flows and investigating abnormalities
  • maintain the Kubernetes deployment with containerized, custom producers and consumers
  • develop what new producers and consumers and require
  • ensure the application support to external and internal stakeholders 
  • ensure the communication and training in the use of the application
  • feed the continuous improvement process of the application with the goal to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction

Education

  • University education (Master's degree)

Other skills

  • Degree in Computer Sciences / software engineering with 5+ years of experience as Software developer, Systems or Data Engineer
  • Specific IT knowlegde and solid experience with the following softwares or platforms:
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Java 11
  • Experience with Azure as an administrator
  • Python
  • Apache Kafka
  • Valuable IT experiencein the operating system and network environment, for an industrial operator ideally additional qualification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical engineering (technical university)
  • Good knowledge of project managementand working with different project disciplines, multiple locations and cultures. Customer and solution oriented. Based on experience, can identify possible solutions, adapt to the situation and implement
  • Interest in process,product knowledge and technical understanding of the operations of EFW or Power plants
  • Didactic skills(training + support for internal and external stakeholders)
  • Languages:English (spoken + written). German and other languages a plus
